Dr. Richard Moore is a board certified foot surgeon and partner of Coastal Podiatry Associates. He was born and raised in Loris, SC and graduated from Loris High School in 1989. He then attended the College of Charleston where he chose to major in biology, but his initial passion was marine biology. Dr. Moore continued on to Barry University in North Miami, Florida and earned his doctorate of podiatric medicine in 1998.
Dr. Moore was selected to participate in the Palmetto General Hospital three year surgical residency specializing in trauma and reconstructive foot and ankle surgery. Part of his third year residency included a six month fellowship in trauma at Hadassah Hospital in Jerusalem, Israel.
In 2001, Dr. Moore, along with Dr. Keefer, founded Seacoast Podiatry Associates. Based on demand, they went on to open offices in Loris and Conway, SC. Recently, he decided to merge his practice with Coastal Podiatry Associates to better serve the Horry County area.
Not only does he enjoy tennis and football, but Dr. Moore is also an avid fresh and salt water fisherman. He is still very competitive and fishes in several tournaments every year. He also loves spending time with his wife and kids at the beach and sporting events.
