Stress Fractures

If there is any repetitive motion or activity that puts pressure on your bones, it can cause a stress fracture. Those who participate in playing sports or physical work are more prone to stress fractures.

Decreasing stress fracture risk:

  • Never rapidly increase your exercise intensity
  • Wear proper shoes
  • Ensure adequate calcium and vitamin D intake
  • Always warm up and cool down for exercising
  • Listen to your body if you feel pain
  • Rest and recover between workouts
