Sunscreen & Foot Health

As the summer sun approaches we all need to be sure our skin is being protected, even on our feet! The top of your feet and the top of your head are the only body parts that are are directly exposed to the sun 24/7. It's easy to throw on a hat at the beach or the pool, but wearing socks or full coverage shoes is not something most would like to do.

Do I really need to apply sunscreen to my feet?

YES! Your feet are just as vulnerable to sun damage as the rest of your body, especially the tops. Not protecting your feet can lead to a number of issue including sunburn, premature aging, and even skin cancer, including melanoma.

Be sure to apply sunscreen to the top of your feet, around your ankles, and even on your soles if you are spending time laying down or walking on a reflective surface.
